Mobilize -- Serving in the Community
CareNet is a Christian program that provides services to teen mothers in Zion, IL and Kenosha, WI. They opened a facility in Racine in the basement of the Kurten Clinic on Northwestern Avenue in January 2007. This facility offers young women and their significant others free services such as pregnancy testing, counseling, abortion recovery, adoption assistance, parenting classes and a boutique with items purchased with points obtained in the program. The services offered are available throughout the week to the young ladies and allows volunteers a flexible opportunity for involvement.
Community Meal at St. Richard’s
This is a meal provided to needy families of our community. Help out by donating food, setting up the meal site, serving the meal, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
Food Pantry
Make donations of non-perishable food items or volunteer to work at the site by sorting and displaying donated items, packing and handing out bags of supplies and sharing the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
One-Time Volunteer Opportunities
Get involved in the community through church-wide events planned throughout the year. Short-term volunteer opportunities are communicated periodically in the Sunday bulletin.
Saturday Sack Lunch
Help out by preparing a nutritious sack lunch. These large lunches are then brought to a Cooperative Parish site where they are handed out to the needy of the community.
