Small Groups

What is a Small Group?
Any group is a small group if it has about a dozen people, more or less, and allows for more intimate interaction than the large group does during Sunday morning worship. Groups meet around the idea of Believe, Belong, & Become. We meet to grow closer to God (Believe) and each other (Belong), and to accomplish the work of God in the world, as we (Become) the people God calls us to be.

Why Small Groups?
Just like the early church grew out of the group of 12 disciples that spent time together developing close relationships with Jesus and each other, we believe it is in the smaller groups that each of us can best be connected to the larger Body of Christ through:
  • Authentic relationships.
  • Healthy conflict.
  • A place where truth meets life.
  • Pastoral care.
  • Leadership development.

Who are included in Small Groups?
It is our hope that everyone who desires to follow the Living Lord will be part of a meaningful small group.

When & Where are the Small Groups?
Times and places vary from Sunday morning Sunday school, and service groups (like ushers, or the children’s ministries), to weekday and evening Bible studies, to monthly gatherings. Some groups meet all year, while some groups are a short-term commitment, such as Alpha and Network.

We have several small group opportunities to achieve our purpose of growing in our relationship with Christ, accomplishing the work of the Church, and sharing life with each other. The different options are meant to allow flexibility in matching your schedule and needs to the opportunities.
