EUM’s Core Values

Worship - We believe that you were planned for God’s pleasure.

  • We believe that worship is a lifestyle expressed with private consistency and corporate vibrancy. (John 4:24; Psalm95:6-7; Psalm 138:2)
  • We believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and full devotion to Him is normative for every believer. (Mark 8:34-35; Philippians 2:5-11; Luke 9:57-62)

Fellowship - We believe that you were formed for God’s family.
  • We believe that we are called to “love one another” in all aspects of Church life. (John 13:31-38)
  • We believe that we should strive for integrity and authenticity in matters of our personal and church life. (1 Peter 1:5-8)
Discipleship - We believe that you were created to become like Christ.
  • We believe that Christians are called to lead a life of discipleship, striving for continuous and personal growth. (Colossians 2:6-7)
  • We believe in the authority of Scriptures – the bible is the Word of God and is the compass of our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105)

Ministry - We believe that you were shaped for serving God.

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers every follower of Christ, and that they should be engaged in some form of team ministry. (1 Peter 4:10; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7)
Evangelism - We believe that you were made for a mission.
  • We believe that lost people matter to God and, therefore, should matter to the church. (Luke 15)
  • We believe that the church should be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure. (Hebrews 13:8; Luke 21:33; 1 Corinthians 9:22)
